Rules of Participation in IKI20

These Rules of Participation will be available on the website of the Foreign Language Centre (http://www.lingo.u-szeged.hu) for the duration of the event.

Duration

Duration of the event: 31 August 2022 – 20 April 2023

The series of events will consist of two phases:

  • Phase 1: 31 August – 8 December 2022
  • Phase 2: 5 February 2022 – 20 April 2023

The deadline for competition entries within the two phases may be different from the date of the end of the series. In all cases, the dates indicated in the programme specification must be respected.

Participation

All university members are eligible to participate in the competitions and programmes of the series.

The calls for entries are available as described on the website of the Foreign Language Centre (http://www.lingo.u-szeged.hu/iki20) and in the IKI20 CooSpace course scene (https://www.coosp.etr.u-szeged.hu/Scene-686445). Submissions can be made in the relevant sub-scenes of the IKI20 CooSpace course scene. The descriptions of the competitions also form part of the Rules for Participation, which are binding.  

Throughout the event, each participant can submit only one entry in each competition, but may enter more than one competition.

The programmes organised in the Foreign Language Centre’s building will take place on 20 April 2023 and will be published in detail on the institute's website by 6 February 2023 at the latest.

Participation in the competitions and programmes is free of charge. Entries will be accepted during the period of time indicated in the call for entries.

Collection of points

Participants can collect points in each competition and programme as described in the programme description, which will be registered in the IKI20 CooSpace scene.

Prizes

The best entries in the selected competitions will be rewarded with a book prize or access to online dictionaries.

In addition, the following prizes will be awarded at the end of the 2nd phase of the competition for the entire duration of the competition:

  • HUF 50,000 to the applicant with the most points, as well as the right to attend a full semester course of their choice without formal Neptun registration beyond the 16-hour language course limit. (For non-University of Szeged students, one semester free attendance in any course at the Foreign Language Centre in the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024).
  • HUF 40,000 to the applicant selected by draw from those who have collected at least 20 points
  • HUF 30,000 to the participant who has collected the highest number of points at the event on 20 April 2023
  • HUF 10,000 - 10,000 each for the most creative competition entries

Winners will be notified via CooSpace message.

Announcement of the results

Announcement of the results of the Phase 1 competitions will be made on 8 December 2022 and those of the Phase 2 competitions on 20 April 2023. The announcement of the results of the points collection game will also take place on 20 April 2023.

Winners who are unable to attend the announcement of the results will be able to collect their Phase 1 prizes until 31 January 2023 and Phase 2 prizes until 30 June 2023. The Foreign Language Centre reserves the right to award the prizes exclusively to the participants and the prizes are non-transferable.

Winners will be required to prove their identity with an identity card or passport.

GDPR

No personal data of participants will be processed in connection with this series of events, and participation in competitions and programmes will be via CooSpace access.

Photographs and video recordings will be taken at the programmes and may be used on the Internet and on screens in the corridor of the Foreign Language Centre. By participating in the programmes, participants agree to possible inclusion in these recordings.
