Crossword puzzles in English (9:00-12:00)
Students studying English at A2-C1 levels will compete in doing crossword puzzles corresponding to their levels in small groups.
Culture test in English for secondary school students (15:00-16:00)
Secondary school students studying English at B1 level can participate in the programme. They will compete in groups of 4 giving account of their knowledge of English speaking countries’ culture and civilization.
Culture test in German for secondary school students (16:00-17:00)
Students studying German at A1 level can participate. In groups of 3-4, they will give account of their knowledge of the geography, history, literature, music, arts and sports of German speaking countries.
Listening comprehension with songs in English (15:00-16:00)
Students studying English at B1-C1 levels will do comprehension exercises based on song lyrics.
Tamás Földi: Is Latin a living or dead language? (lecture in Hungarian) (13:00-14:00)
The aim of this Hungarian lecture is to make students acquainted with those aspects of Latin culture and language which are still part of 21st century civilisation.
Games in English (Scrabble, Dixit, card games etc.) (9:00-18:00)
Both grammar school and university students studying English at A2-C1 levels can learn from one another during the games.
Zsuzsa Hohl: Colourful Camino (lecture in Hungarian) (10:00-12:00)
The presenter will talk about her personal experiences either in Spanish or in Hungarian – depending on the language skills of the audience.
Gesture language - Italian language game (9:00-10:00)
Students studying Italian at A2-C1 levels are welcome. They can get acquainted with Italian gesture language and play games with Italian students.
Sports quiz in English (14:00-15:00)
Students studying English at least at B1 level can practice sports vocabulary in a relaxed atmosphere.
Péter Simon: Webpages for learning English (lecture in Hungarian) (16:00-17:00)
Students studying English at B1-C1 levels will be shown web pages which can help them with learning English. They can improve their language skills even individually while using these pages.
Classical music concert - pieces of music in foreign languages (19:00 órától)
Anybody enjoying classical music is welcome to attend the concert performed by students who are studying Italian for musicians at our institute. The venue is the Fricsay Ferenc concert hall at the Music Department of the University of Szeged.
Methodology workshop for German teachers (in German) (15:00-18:00)
Márta Rixer, accredited trainer of the Goethe Institute, gives a lecture-series of 5 units (45 minutes/unit), in topics Prüfungsvorbereitung B2 and Fertigkeit Schreiben
Bring a picture and talk about it (in English and German) (14:00-15:00)
Students studying English at A2-C1 levels have to bring along a photo of a memorable travelling experience and speak about it for 3-5 minutes.
My experiences in learning a language abroad (16:30-17:30)
Hungarian students who have learnt foreign languages abroad will share their experiences with the audience.
Enigma & Geocaching (10:30-15:00)
Students studying English at A2-C1 levels can take part in the game in groups of 3-5. They have to solve short puzzles to be able to find different places in the city according to the rules of geocaching (with the help of GPS coordinates). Smart phones are needed.
German oral mock exam (12:00-14:00)
Students can take exams at B1, B2 and C1 levels according to Goethe, Origo and ÖSD exam tasks. Their performance will be assessed orally after the mock exam. Candidates need not bring along anything.
